Last weekend was Uncle Chris's birthday, so Angie and Jake went over to his house for a BBQ (too bad Evan had a wedding!)

Chris had quite an exciting birthday week. During his business/vacation trip to England this week, Chris's appendix decided it wanted out, so Chris spent the first few days waiting in the hospital. He finally had surgery yesterday and (fingers crossed) will be able to continue his holiday with his girlfriend Erin soon.

Jake felt much better this week and was his usual happy self! Yay!

In other news, we are winning the battle against the dreaded bouncer! Jake sat in the bouncer for more than a minute without crying for the first time this week! Perhaps all he needed was Daddy bouncing along with him! :)
Jake is getting much better at his hand-eye coordination. For the first time this week, he's started grabbing things. Here he is playing with his owl toy:

It's amazing how much Angie and Jake look identical at this age! Drew looks soooo young in the photo! I enjoy the flash videos tremendously. They are so fun! Keep 'em coming! love, Grandma Jo
