We decided to do a big push of renovation before the baby arrives in August. We are renovating the living room, dining room, main bathroom, and the hallway. Because this requires us not to reside in the houes during this process, we have moved out to Angie's folks' house for 3-4 weeks while this renovation speeds by.
We've started with demolition of all the lathe and plaster. We're gutting everything to make room for the new sheet rock. Chimney was falling away from the house, and the china hutch was an eye sore, so both are gone. And tons of stuff is in the kitchen and baby room for storage while this all gets done. Wish us luck that we get it all done before the baby comes.
We've got good people working on this and we are trusting that they will be done in the timeframe that they promised - 3 weeks. Cross your fingers. :)
