| Every Morning |
Today is the first day we did not see our sweet outdoor cat, Piglet, looking back at us from beyond the window screen. She had been sick with an infection for a couple of days and stopped walking or eating. We took her into the vet yesterday and found that her situation was dire. Without going into painful details, the doctors tried to save her, but could not. We did everything we could but she passed away quietly in the afternoon.

When we first moved into this house, it came with the a small skiddish cat that had made a home at the back of our garden. She turned out to be one of the sweetest little cats and would always follow us around whenever we were outside, bouncing along beside us as we walked. We buried her in the very same corner that we found her and planted a Lily of the Valley plant where she lays. The other two cats look a bit lost outside without her. She taught Monkey all he needed to know to get around the gates and do some real cat spelunking.

We already miss her terribly. Here's to a wonderful little companion, Piglet. Thank you for adopting us and for welcoming us into our new home.
